FAQs
How is homeschooling right for me?
Homeschooling is for parents who want to provide their children with an alternative education experience and have the time and resources to invest themselves into creating a quality and individualized learning opportunity for their child.
What curriculum does Faith Home School Tutorial use?
Depending on the class, FHST utilizes a variety of resources that have proven to work well in partnering with the instructor and parent. We work with Abeka, Bob Jones Press, Apologia, and Math U See just to name a few. For class-specific information, please visit the “Curriculum” section of our website.
How do I enroll at Faith Home School Tutorial?
To enroll in FHST, please visit the “Apply” page of our website for more detailed information. You may also call 731-225-8172 or email us at faithhomeschooltutorial@gmail.com if you have any questions.
May I withdraw my child from the program once the school year begins?
We want every child and family to get the most out of our program. To that end, we believe partnering with us for at least one semester allows for optimal growth for both the student and the instructor. If at the end of the first semester, it is still best for you to withdraw from the program, you can do so without penalty at that time.
Is enrollment open all year?
The simple answer is no. Current families register in February and new families may register between March-July each year. For more information, please visit the “Apply” page of our website.
What is the advantage of attending Faith Home School Tutorial?
FHST provides families with supplemental instruction so they do not have to navigate homeschooling independently. Our tutors provide expertise in their specific field of study, and students are able to experience an excellent and interactive classroom setting two mornings a week. This also provides your child with important socialization with their peers.
What will be the level of parent involvement?
The parents are the primary teachers for their children. The tutors at FHST come alongside you to provide guidance and enrichment. Coursework expectations are communicated weekly and monthly with the student, tutor, and parent in the FHST partnership.
